Anointing of the Sick
“By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests, the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ” (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1499).
"Por la sagrada unción de los enfermos y la oración de los sacerdotes, toda la Iglesia encomienda a los enfermos al Señor sufriente y glorificado, para que los resucite y los salve. Y de hecho los exhorta a contribuir al bien del Pueblo de Dios uniéndose libremente a la Pasión y muerte de Cristo ” (Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica #1499).
Illness is very challenging for both the ones suffering and those who care and love form them. Through the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, the church offers God’s healing, both spiritual and physical, for those in need.
If a family member is sick or homebound and would like to receive Holy Communion, please call the parish office.
La enfermedad es muy difícil tanto para quien la sufre como para quien la cuida y ama. A través del Sacramento de la Unción de los Enfermos, la Iglesia ofrece la curación de Dios, tanto espiritual como física, para los necesitados.
